Start early. Allow yourself plenty of time to complete your application well before the deadline.
Choose the right category. Read the category outlines carefully to ensure your entry is submitted to the most appropriate one. While misaligned entries may be moved, your answers will be stronger if written with the correct category in mind.
Save and return. Begin your application early, review the requirements, and return to it as needed. This gives you time to gather supporting materials and refine your answers.
Answer directly. Focus on the questions being asked. Avoid unnecessary detail or going off-topic, and stick within the specified word counts. Applications that exceed the limit will not be accepted.
Show your evidence. Back up your claims with clear results, data, or examples. Demonstrating measurable outcomes adds credibility and highlights impact.
Keep the judging criteria in mind.
Strategy: Clear identification and prioritisation of goals and actions.
Innovation and Engagement: Fresh, creative approaches and meaningful collaboration with partners or stakeholders.
Impact: Strong results measured against objectives, showing real benefit for your business or community.
Review and Reflection: Evidence of learning, adaptation, and plans for the future.
Use your own voice. Do not rely on AI-generated answers. Judges value authenticity and real insight into your work, so your application should reflect your own experience and achievements.
