If your goods are crossing a border, the paperwork has to be right. Fingal Chamber is licensed by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and by Chambers Ireland to issue and certify export documentation, and we handle it for exporters across north Dublin every week.

Certificates of Origin
A Certificate of Origin proves that the goods in a shipment were produced or manufactured in a particular country, which is what customs authorities and trade agreements require.
EU Certificates of Origin and accompanying documents such as invoices and packing lists are submitted online through essCert, the electronic certification platform used by exporters and shipping agents to sign, stamp and certify trade documents digitally. It is quicker than paper and you keep a record of everything you have submitted.
Arab-Irish Certificates of Origin work differently. Contact us and we will talk you through what is needed.
Legalisation
Some destination markets need documents legalised by their embassy before they will accept them. We process these for you, working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Arab-Irish Chamber of Commerce to complete legalisation with embassies based in Ireland and the UK.
Get in touch early if legalisation is involved. It adds time to the process and the requirements vary by country.
Company documents
We can certify company documents as your buyer or their authorities require, including powers of attorney, authorisation letters, manufacturer's authorisations, price certificates and GMP certificates.
If you are submitting paper originals, bring one set of photocopies with them. If the documents also need legalisation, bring two sets.
If digital certification is acceptable to your buyer, submit through essCert instead and skip the paper entirely. Ask us if you are not sure which applies.
Getting set up
Before we can certify anything for you, we need two things on file:
- A completed Indemnity Form, naming your authorised signatories. Download the Indemnity Form (PDF). This has to be renewed every year, so check yours is current before a deadline is looming.
- Proof of company status, if you are not a Chamber member. A copy of your Certificate of Incorporation covers it.
If you hold a VAT exemption, send a copy of that too.
