Government Engagement

Fingal Chamber ensures the voice of business in our region is heard where it matters most. We engage directly with decision-makers to shape policies that support growth, jobs, and a thriving local economy.

Why Our Engagement Matters

  • Only Chamber in the region representing business locally, nationally, and in Europe

  • Constructive, solutions-focused approach to advocacy

  • Strong relationships with policymakers built on respect and trust

  • Transparent and accountable lobbying activity

How We Work

While we are not a government body, we work closely with those who shape policy and make decisions. Our engagement includes regular dialogue with:

  • Government Ministers and TDs

  • Fingal County Council

  • Local representatives across the political spectrum

Our approach centres on promoting the policies and interests of business to Government, policymakers and the media. We feed into the political process on issues of importance to members, using research and consultation to produce comprehensive policy documents that influence action.

As the voice of business in Fingal, we represent our members and the wider business community on key statutory and non-statutory bodies. This ensures that business priorities are heard, considered and acted on at both local and national level. Our focus is always on practical solutions, ensuring that the needs of Fingal businesses are understood and included in policy development.

Championing Business at Every Level

Businesses of all sizes make a vital contribution to Fingal’s communities and economy. We highlight this contribution to create a positive environment where enterprise can flourish and employment can grow.

National Influence Through Chambers Ireland

As an active member of Chambers Ireland, we strengthen our voice at national level. Chambers Ireland represents the Chamber Network and advocates strongly for SMEs and the wider business community. This partnership allows us to:

  • Focus on regional priorities for Fingal

  • Contribute to national debates on enterprise and competitiveness

  • Ensure a strong, pro-business perspective in government policy and media discussions

Transparency and Accountability

We believe advocacy should be open and responsible. In line with the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015, Fingal Chamber and Chambers Ireland publish lobbying activity three times a year.
