Fingal Chamber ensures the voice of business in our region is heard where it matters most. We engage directly with decision-makers to shape policies that support growth, jobs, and a thriving local economy.

Why Our Engagement Matters

  • The only Chamber in the region representing business locally, nationally, and in Europe

  • Constructive, solutions-focused advocacy that gets results

  • Strong relationships with policymakers built on trust

  • Transparent and accountable lobbying activity

Fingal Chamber’s effectiveness in government engagement has delivered tangible outcomes for businesses across the region. From influencing national policy to securing local investment, our collaborative approach ensures that business priorities translate into real-world impact.

How We Work

We are not a government body, but we work closely with those who shape policy and make decisions.

Our engagement includes regular dialogue with:

  • Government Ministers and TDs

  • Fingal County Council

  • Local representatives across the political spectrum

  • Transparent and accountable lobbying activity

We use member insights, research and consultation to produce clear, evidence-based policy recommendations. By pairing data with real business stories, we provide practical solutions that the government can act on.

Proven Impact: Chamber Advocacy in Action

daa Advertising Platform for Fingal Businesses

Fingal Chamber’s advocacy for greater business visibility helped secure a major opportunity for local SMEs through daa’s new advertising initiative at Dublin Airport. In partnership with Fingal County Council, daa will reserve at least 20% of airbridge advertising revenue—valued at a minimum of €50,000 a year—for promoting Fingal businesses over the next decade. The programme gives SMEs access to discounted and grant-supported advertising, boosting their exposure to millions of travellers and strengthening links between Dublin Airport and the Fingal business community.

Public Wi-Fi Rollout

In partnership with Fingal County Council and Magnet Networks under the WiFi4EU scheme, we helped plan a network of 48 hotspots across 13 locations and joined site visits with local businesses to identify optimal access points that wouldn’t affect in-premise broadband. Our team coordinated outreach, briefed members and supported communications to maximise take-up and visibility. The result is stronger digital access in key commercial areas—helping businesses attract passing trade, stay connected and compete more effectively.

Tourism Stakeholders Group

We brought together local government, tourism boards and private operators to form a structured forum for collaboration. The group became a unified voice shaping tourism development strategies for the region, strengthening Fingal’s position as a destination and aligning public and private investment.

Shop Local & Fingal In It Together Campaigns

Fingal Chamber worked with government representatives and Fingal County Council to secure funding and support for the Shop Local initiative, helping raise awareness of local businesses and drive footfall across Fingal towns during a challenging economic period. Building on this success, the Fingal In It Together Charter united businesses under shared pledges to promote safe access, collaboration and local support. The Chamber’s leadership ensured small and medium enterprises were represented in recovery discussions and gained visibility through these community-driven campaigns.

COVID-19 Community Call

During the pandemic, Fingal Chamber partnered with government and local authorities to deliver rapid-response support. We coordinated with officials on business queries, financial supports and crisis communication, ensuring member concerns shaped government interventions—from grants to reopening guidelines.

Strategic, collaborative engagement delivers results - from stronger business visibility to improved infrastructure and more responsive policymaking. Fingal Chamber continues to be a trusted bridge between government and the local business community.

Championing Business at Every Level

Businesses of all sizes make a vital contribution to Fingal’s communities and economy. We highlight this contribution to create a positive environment where enterprises can flourish and employment can grow.

From small enterprises to global employers, Fingal businesses drive our local economy. We highlight their contribution and ensure their priorities are included in policy at both the local and national levels.

Through our active membership of Chambers Ireland, we strengthen our influence on national debates and amplify Fingal’s voice in government and media discussions.

Transparency and Impact

Our advocacy is open and responsible. In line with the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015, Fingal Chamber and Chambers Ireland publish lobbying activity three times a year. View our lobbying returns here.
