Since 1994, the presidency of Fingal Chamber has been held by business leaders from across the county and from every sector of its economy. Each gave their time unpaid, and each shaped what the Chamber became.
What the role involves
The President is a voluntary officer elected by the membership. The role carries a seat on the Board, which holds the Chamber's strategy and oversees its delivery, and a place on the Business Council, which steers the policy priorities the Chamber advocates on.
In practice, the President is the member voice at the top of the organisation. Recent past presidents also sit on the Board, so the experience carries forward rather than leaving with the term.
