New campaign helps Fingal Businesses go Green and save time, money and energy
A new campaign has been launched by Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Fingal to help small businesses take those first steps in becoming more sustainable and to show them the substantial benefits.
The “Going Green, It’s All in A Day’s Work” campaign will show how easy it is for a business to make small changes that can make a significant impact. There are two specific supports available to all small businesses (up to 50 employees) in any sector that can set them on their green journey, the Green for Business programme and the Energy Efficiency Grant.
Businesses are encouraged to take two minutes to register themselves on www.AllInADaysWork.ie/Green and their Local Enterprise Office will take it from there.
Welcoming the new campaign, Oisín Geoghegan (Head of Enterprise in LEO Fingal) commented:
“For small businesses in any sector it has never been easier to begin that green journey. The free Green for Business programme is a quick and efficient way of enabling a small business to save waste and reduce carbon footprint.
“There is a substantial financial incentive to introducing energy-saving measures. Firstly, the business reduces costs by lowering their energy spend. Secondly, the new Energy Efficiency Grant provides up to €10,000 to the small business, at 75% of the costs of becoming more energy efficient.
The free Green for Business programme will result in a report for the business that enables them to see how they can reduce energy costs. It also opens the door to a possible Energy Efficiency Grant from the LEO. The Energy Efficiency Grant is also open to businesses who may already have completed Green Start with Enterprise Ireland or an Energy Audit with SEAI.
The new campaign aims to create awareness among Fingal-based small business, who are encouraged to reach out to LEO Fingal to start the process or take 2 minutes on www.AllInADaysWork.ie/Green to complete the form and the Local Enterprise Office will take it from there.
