EuVibe invites public input as it develops a safer, European-led social platform

A new Irish-based initiative aiming to reshape how people interact online is inviting businesses, organisations and the wider public to help shape its development through a short survey.
EuVibe describes itself as a next-generation European social partnership platform, designed to prioritise respectful engagement, user safety and stronger data protection standards. The project is currently in its early stages and organisers say community feedback will play a central role in how the platform evolves.
A focus on safety and respectful discussion
The team behind EuVibe says the platform is being built as a “safe space” for online interaction, with clear standards around behaviour and moderation. The aim is to create an environment free from bullying, racial abuse and toxic language while encouraging constructive public conversation.
Alongside moderation, the platform intends to align closely with European regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, the AI Act and the Digital Services Act. According to the organisers, this approach is designed to give users greater confidence that their personal data is protected and handled responsibly.
EuVibe positions itself as a European alternative within the wider social media landscape, offering users and organisations another option for online engagement grounded in transparency, inclusion and accountability.
Listening before building
Rather than launching features first and responding later, the project team says it wants to understand what people actually expect from modern social platforms.
A short public survey has been launched to gather views on topics such as:
Online ethics and respectful discourse
Inclusion and accessibility
Multilingual communication
The future of public discussion online
The survey takes around five minutes to complete, and responses will directly inform the platform’s development priorities.
Businesses, community groups and members are also encouraged to share the questionnaire within their own networks to help capture a broad range of perspectives.
