Be a Champion for Children and the Planet – Join the Inclusion Matters Campaign Today!

A Chara,

Your support in the Inclusion Matters Campaign will cost your company nothing but will make an extraordinary difference to children with Down syndrome in Dublin. Led by the Down Syndrome Centre Children’s Charity in partnership with Re-Turn, the government-appointed organisation driving Ireland's recycling efforts, this initiative seeks to raise over €100,000 for critical therapy services for children with Down syndrome in Dublin. At the same time, it aims to collect and recycle over 500,000 cans and bottles, fostering a more sustainable future.

Why Participate?

By joining our campaign, your business will:

· Support Children with Down Syndrome: Your participation will help raise vital funds for therapy services that aid children in developing communication skills, independence, and community integration.

· Contribute to Ireland’s Recycling Goals: Help us collect over 500,000 cans and bottles to support national recycling goals and contribute to Ireland’s EU recycling targets.

· Boost Your CSR/ESG Profile: Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability and inclusion while engaging your employees in a meaningful way.

As part of our campaign, rugby stars like Jordan Larmour and Jeo McCarty have already supported the cause. Together, we can raise awareness and create a lasting impact on children’s lives and the environment.

How It Works:

1. Sign Up: Join the Inclusion Matters Campaign by registering your business today.

2. Receive a Charity Bin: We provide specially branded bins for your business location at no cost.

3. Hassle-Free Collections: Re-Turn will manage all collections, ensuring minimal effort on your part.

4. Funds for Therapy: The money raised through recycling will directly fund therapy services for children with Down syndrome in our two Dublin centres.

Help Us Reach Our Goals!

We aim to raise over €100,000 and collect 500,000+ cans and bottles for recycling. Your support will make a significant difference in both the lives of children and the environment.

Why Separating Cans and Bottles Is Important

Separating cans and bottles from other recyclables helps create a more sustainable recycling system:

· Higher Quality Recyclate: When cans and bottles are separated, they are cleaner and easier to recycle, resulting in higher quality materials that can be reused effectively.

· Prevent Cross-Contamination: Proper separation ensures that valuable recyclables aren’t contaminated with other waste, which improves recycling efficiency.

· Sustainable Resource Management: Aluminium cans can be recycled indefinitely, and plastic bottles can be recycled up to 7 times, which reduces the need for new raw materials, saves water and energy, and lowers environmental impact.

· Supporting a Circular Economy: By keeping valuable materials in use, we are contributing to a circular economy where resources are continuously reused, rather than discarded.
